The cabin was very clean. Spacious for two people yet so cozy. The full kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the BBQ grill is brand new - worked like a charm.

The hot tub on the deck is just big enough for two people and looks out toward the ridge. The view is a clear-cut section of land which is not a stunning vista, but as soon at the sun goes down the stars are so bright that you don't care what is on the ground.

The owners should cut down the three little trees right in front of the hot tub and put a blue ray player in place of the dvd player and my rating would be 100%

We stayed at the Hickernut from 9-12 thru the 15th. I dont think I've ever been so relaxed. The hot tub was wonderful, the views were gorgeous. We are already planning to come back early next year to the Hickernut. Planning a return trip with the kids and grandchild for Thanksgiving. The staff was wonderful, although we had no problems, but they were very helpful and friendly when making the arrangements. Thanks Vacation Broken Bow Lake!!

We have stayed in this cabin twice now, and we plan on many future stays. This cabin is small, but it is the perfect romantic hideaway. It's clean and welcoming, and the hot tub makes it perfect!

Enjoyed our stay at the hickernut cabin, love the fact its off away from the highway in the hills. Vacation Broken Bow Lake staff were very helpful with info when we needed it. We will definitely go again with kids.

My boyfriend, myself and our two medium-large sized dogs stayed in the Hickernut cabin over July 4th weekend. We really loved the quiet, wooded setting. The cabin is cute and super clean. It is simply and tastefully decorated. There is lots of pine wood, laminate wood floors and a pretty rock fireplace (not wood burning). It's a perfect size for a couple and maybe 1-2 small children or dogs. The kitchen / living / dining area is all one space but had ample room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The couch is very comfy! It has a large bathroom with shower. The bedroom is just large enough for the bed and an armoire, but you don't need much more. We loved the big porch and of course the hot tub! The charcoal grill was convenient too. There are no "views" from this cabin, but it is still very scenic and relaxing. It is quite a long walk down to the lake (and a tough walk back uphill!), but doable and makes for a pretty walk. It is located so close to great hiking, canoeing / kayaking, swimming, boating, restaurants, etc. The owners / staff are incredibly nice and very responsive if you have any problems (they fixed our hot tub quickly when we called). We had a wonderful visit and would come back again in a heartbeat!

loved it so much we ended up renting an extra night - wished we could have stayed longer. Everyone was very helpful and made our 6th anniversary weekend one we will never forget. The cabin is so beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasure. The hot tub sure came in handy since I think I walked my poor hubby to death when we went fishing. We are already talking about booking another stay, but this time for a whole week. Passing out info and showing pictures to all of our friends and family so they can plan their get aways as well. Thanks again
