The resort offers a vacation rental arrangement unique to this property: a duo of attached bungalows called “The Pine” and "The Vine", either of which may be rented as a single cottage or together. With adjoining doors, separated by an outdoor hallway, they make a perfect arrangement for larger families or groups when rented together, but provide enough of a division so that when rented separately, both units are peacefully distinct.
“The Pine,” offers a king sized bed, and loft beds accessible by a ship’s ladder. The loft area is a fun feature for the kids and young adults in your party, providing their own space while giving you the option of supervision. This option alone will delight children and make their stay memorable for years to come.
The “Pine” features the incredible hydrotherapy Pearl Apoge Showers, with full body spray and pulsating Grohe showerheads. Back and foot massagers double as whirlpool/Jacuzzi jets so the unit may be used as a shower or a relaxing whirlpool bath. These special bathrooms were designed with your pampering in mind!
Televisions with satellite access may be found in the master bedroom and the main living area, along with a real wood burning fireplace. Stretch out on the plush leather couches and recover from a long day of canoeing the river, or share a game with the family after dinner.
The modern, contemporary kitchen is wrapped by marble countertops, and includes seating and premium appliances (including a water purifier) so that all you need to bring is food and coffee. A dining area for 4 is also featured in this bungalow.
If you prefer to grill on the private decks, gas grills are available with every rental, with comfortable seating overlooking the slope of the beautiful Glover River. Everyone in your party will marvel at the contrast of the luxury and creature comforts of this property, and the expansive wilderness left undisturbed. These views must be experienced firsthand, and are different in the morning light, filtered by a canopy of trees—and at night, with a sky full of stars you may never see in the city.

3/16 Weekend Getaway! Review by Mindi - McKinney, TX
Our kids were on Spring Break and we wanted to get them out of town for a couple of days before they had to return to school. I read all the reviews before we booked the Pine Retreat, and it seemed like it would perfect, I can confirm, it was absolutely perfect, and exactly what we were looking for and needed! The location was amazing, and the cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. It was relaxing and calming, and luxurious, but still gave us the cabin feel we were looking for. I believe we were there only 2 to 3 hours when we already decided we needed to book it again for another getaway. Can't wait to come back and enjoy a longer stay!!!!
12/15 Awesome place Review by Billy C - Paris, TX
My wife and I went this past weekend and just loved this place. We were looking to get away from it all and this was perfect. The only thing you could hear was birds chirping and leaves blowing in the wind. I highly recommend this place, I will be back.
9/15 Wonderful! Review by B. Doucet - Fort Worth, TX
Tucked away neatly in a grove of trees with the Glover River flowing gently below, this place made for a great relaxing and quiet getaway. The cabin itself was neat, clean, and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend the Pine Retreat!
8/15 Nature with a twist of unqiue Review by Shana St. John - Canton, TX
We booked this for a much needed quick trip from Canton, TX. The drive down the dusty gravel road is well worth what you’re going for. We walked into a refreshingly cool, uniquely decorated, calming atmosphere complete with an inviting smell and Zen music upon our arrival. Everything about this place was “different” in one way or another by combining natural elements inside with stunning vaulted wood ceilings and floors to a variety of stone work with a twist of modern lighting in a location least unexpected. The grounds are kept extremely well with a wide variety of colorful flowers and plants spread out and around the cabins. Our porch overlooked a perfect shallow area of the river where our 8 year old could flip flop in the clearest waters we’ve ever seen and being completely safe while doing so. Not once did we find a piece of litter or left over fishing items in or around our area. In the mornings we stumbled on doe with fawns graciously snacking and an abundance of adorable cotton tail rabbits. One of our favorite parts was grilling on the well-stocked grill while having a cup of coffee on the porch overlooking the river drift by listening to the owls hoot. Both the king size bed and the bed in the loft area were so comfortable that I took pictures of what tags I could find on the linens to purchase those for home. :) The bath towels are huge, plush and super white. The experience was perfect for my family of 4 and we can't wait to be back. We hope to be back soon and to possibly experience one of the bigger units.
8/15 Awesome stay! Review by Springers - Bossier City, LA
My wife and I just got done staying there and I have to say we are very impressed with the whole layout and the company in general. The location was beautiful (a bit remote which we wanted) and was very close to Beaver's Bend State Park which was a blast. I would highly recommend it for a multiple night stay!
11/14 Great Stay! Review by The Cameron's - Grand Prairie, TX
My husband and I celebrated our 1yr Anniversary this weekend and stayed at the Pine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I wanted to get away and just relax without all the hussle and bussle...and this remote location allowed us to do just that! The bed was comfortable, the decor was quite contemporary, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to cook and great cookware. I had all the comforts of home. My husband was a little nervous because he did not see any signs stating we were going the right way...after going down the gravel road and winding around several corners, to see the small sign gave him quite a relief. I am from the country, so it did not bother me one bit. The only down side was the spa shower in the bathroom, a standard tub and shower would have probably been more cost efficient. We are definitely looking forward to returning and bringing other friends and family. We TRULY preferred the remote location of this retreat. We had access to town, but the solitude and peace that we both needed..Thanks for making our 1st Anniverary memorable.
9/14 Peaceful Paradise Review by Sara Rico - Denton, TX
This place was the best place we have stayed at. I give this place a 5 stars. My husband and us did not want to leave the people was nice. It was also right on the river which we loved we hooked a lot of fish of all kinds. My boys could not wait to go outside and run and play at the river and get in the Canoe. It might of been 10 minutes away from town but it was worth the drive. Everything was so easy to find. We took a lot of pictures these are moments we wont forget.. We will be back next year for sure. Next time we will being all of our family so they can enjoy it like we did. Thank you all for giving us great memories that will last a life time.
8/14 Excellent honeymoon experience! Review by Greg Britton - Weatherford, OK
My wife and I were looking for a great remote place to just unwind and relax and that is exactly what we found here at "The Pine Retreat." We had an excellent stay and definitely plan to return again someday.
11/13 Awesome cabin!! Review by Karen - Lafayette, LA
This is an awesome little cabin! Has all the comforts of home tucked away, in the serene wooded area along glover river. Our time at Broken Bow was peaceful and relaxing. We had an adventurous ride on horseback with River Man Trail Rides! My son says he gives our stay five stars!!!! We would to visit this place again, and stay in one if your lovely cabins!!!
